That's right! In January of 2010, the national price caps of electric companies' prices are coming off. What does this mean? It means an up to 200% increase (but most likely a lot less) in electric bills. Those companies want to make some serious money.
How is this fair? Each house in each development only gets one company as a choice to get their electricity from, just like water and such. So if that one choice company sky rocket's their prices, shouldn't we get the freedom of choice to get another company? If not, don't we have to right to a life with electricity? Therefore, the electric company, water company, and other utilities should actually be owned by the government. Call it Socialist or not, it would make our lives so much more efficient. Anyway, our government is already part Socialist because it has to be that way.
How Can we save our precious friends named Benjamin Franklin (money)? Unplug your appliances, devices, lights and other things when you are not using them. Even though an electrical device may be off, it is still using up electricity because it is plugged in. SO GET IN THE HABIT OF UNPLUGGING THOSE ELECTRICAL DEVICES! Other ways to save electricity bill money would be to get new insulation for your home and to get more electricity effecient devices, like a new refrigerator.

People of America should be embarrassed by their actions in this year's presidential election. Not only was the act highly unpatriotic, but a disaster to the American role model to other countries by showing racism in this modern day. This election was FULL of racism. I'm not really talking about "I freakin hate your race/color!", but more of a "I prefer my race/color more than yours!". After the election, seeing all those prominent black people crying and praising how great it was to finally "Get through racism" and finally suceed at beating the barrior took me to the point of almost barfing. Honestly, nobody gives a shit about racism anymore. Nobody remembers it nor wants any part of it. It was a terrible crime to see that 96% of black voters voted Obama, many it was their first time, and many of the 96% voting Obama just because he is black. Also, to see people voting in this election when they do not know anything about the candidates or their stands on the issues was terribly unpatriotic. I think it should be outright illegal for TV adds and phone calls to press the American people into voting. Yes, I know neither candidates really were completely terrible or did one candidate stand out from the other as greatness, but this racist and newbie to the polls election was just plain dishonourable and unpatriotic to this fine country (even if Obama really deserved the office). Maybe someday when another black candidate runs for office, people will vote for the candidates because of the issues and not their races/color. God bless America.

I know I'm not old enough to vote, but it's nice to think you have a say in the government. Maybe my views will trickle down to whoever is reading this. Anyways, I've been thinking about the candidates and I'm starting to lean towards Barrack Obama. As the leader of the free world, he won't actually be leading. Congress is actually the heart and sole of governing our country. Now, as a presidential candidate, Obama has represented himself much better than McCain. After McCain started losing in the polls, he started playing dirty, lying about his opponent, and such. It seems as if Obama is the better candidate to represent the United States, though we may never know if he was better with the issues. Perhaps he talked his way into office?

As the voters of America, it seems we all must try to be open minded into each debate. Of course this is not possible. I'm for McCain and I don't really understand why everyone loves Obama. It seems all the Tv people are for Obama, point out McCain's flaws and make them known widespread.
The way it is today, Debates are not actually "Debates". They're simply fancy political dances to facade their real issues from the public. The candidates don't even question each other, they only talk about what each other would do when answering a question from the narrator. In the Tennessee Debate, both candidates were guilty of talking around the issues and insulting each other. Of course, these "insults" are just the way of politics. Here's a list of the strong suits and negatives for each candidate.
Barrack Obama > He is a very influential speaker like almost all Democrat nominations. They seem to talk their way into office (and it seems most Americans are mesmorized by Obama's speaking style alone). Of the issues I've heard, Obama had been very broad about the issues. It seems he has no strong suits, but appeals to many classes of citizens. Obama also has an experienced Vice Presidential running mate. However, Obama does not know how to solve the economic crisis and he is young and inexperienced. I always seem to notice that he re-iterates words used by McCain in the debates. I fear he may have less experience than Sarah Palin and that the Democratic Party will dominate him in office (puppet). Lastly, I'm against him because he wants to take the troops out of the Middle East. This means all those 4,000 marines died for nothing!
John McCain > This guy is wise and knows what he's talking about. McCain has traveled all around the world to meet with political leaders and military leaders. He has plenty of experience in politics, most notable the Senate. His strong suit is foreign relations and military strategy. John McCain is likely to successfully guide us through the campaigns in the Middle East and take care of our troops. However, McCain has negatives as well. For one thing, he's old and many people fear his VP running mate Sarah Palin will be a weak president to take over. McCain picked Palin in an attempt to appeal to women voters (as Obama gets most of them). It is controversial whether Palin has more experience than Obama or not. McCain, like Obama, does not know how to solve the economic crisis, but may be experienced enough to get a good advisory board to guide us through. Finally, people fear whether McCain will keep the Bush administrations' duties active. It is not known, but McCain has tried to show he will act for what is best for the nation, and not necessarily for his Republican Party.
P.S. Neither candidates know how to solve the economic crisis if that is what you are looking for. Hopefully, the next president of the United States will surround himself with good advisors to help us through this recession.

Some health company apparently released a report that stated John McCain (72)can expect 8 years of healthy life and Barrack Obama (47) can expect only 21 years of healthy life. Why is Obama expected to live healthy only until his 60's? Barrack Obama was a smoker throughout his adult life and just quit smoking 2-3 years ago. I have a source that Obama was asked if he ever smoked marijuana.......... and Obama stated that he did, but only at a young age and then quit it. Fellow Americans, do we want a president who was dumb enough to smoke (no offense to you smokers out there)? After smoking heavily throughout his adult life, Obama will essentially be playing Russian Roulette throughout his possible presidencial term. Given that fact, he almost stands as much chance as old McCain (72) dying in office.

Does anybody out there know how to fix the economy?...................echo...............anybody?..........echo...........
Well, it seems none of the future presidents-to-be have any idea how to figure out how to fix the economy and apparently are playing a big game of poker with America. The catch- Keep bluffing until the other is caught bluffing and then slander him to death. Basically, our only hope for our next president of the USA to fix the economy is to surround himself (or herself if McCain dies) with clever economists and advocates.
BTW, President Bush surrounded himself with really smart advocates, but they all quit on him within 3 years of his office because they didn't agree with his views.

All the Canidates this year seem to all be targets for biasisms. Lets face it.
Hilary Clinton - Women will vote for her just because of the whole "Womens Rights Thing" which i do think they deserve, but, thats the wrong reason. So she has all the women. ( all the retarded ones anyway. ) ( apperently thats a lot. )
Barack Obama - All the Black people will vote him to get another black person in government. ( i am in no way racist. ) other minorities may also do the same, in order to get them closer as well. this too bothers me.
John Mcain - The Old Guy. Everyone Will vote for him just because they dont want a woman, or a black person in office. a lot of people hold on to the values of many many years ago. racist and sexisism are still fairly strong. which in its own way, is sad.
Also take into affect the also dumb, but not in the same way, people who will just vote Republican because they're republican, and democrat, because they're democrat. which is also wrong.
These things BUG THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF ME.
We need to know what they're going to do! not just the Nationality or Gender of the person!
What is wrong with you people????
America is Fucked. ( Lets Face the Music )

we really are screwed. Canidates are already badmouthing each other, ( which is apperently expected...? )
Besides Americans suck anyway.
thats right. i said it. we haven't really contributed anything to the world other than weapons of mass destruction ( and im pretty sure it was foreign scientists who made it here )
we're fat, lazy, stupid, and were total assholes.
America Sucks. We have decided to move somewhere better when were older.... like.. Ireland. or Japan. =D
so have fun.
you imperialistic assholes.

Everyone Seems to be making a big deal about world war III...
and honestly im kinda worried. were all just hostages or other countries with nukes, as they are to us.
Really, we only got away with it last time because we were the only ones to have the technology.
the fact is, the next major war that doesn't involve some poverty stricken country (though they have nukes too) someones gonna start launching the bombs.
and as far as i can see it, we are all totally fucked.
as soon as ONE COUNTRY launches a nuke, every country around the world will start to launch off all they have in fear that they might be next.
the fact is, there is no chance of just one bomb going off.
the only country who might be safe is iceland, and thats only because no one gives a shit about iceland.
if ANYONE out there has ever read the book Alas, Babylon, i suggest you do.
its a pretty good book, and is all about what people did when nuked.
its based a few years ago... but it brings up interesting points on what to do, and what would probably happen eventually. even things i didn't think of.
I feel like i should prepare. if not for me at least for my kids.
but.. i also know that no matter what we do theres no way to completly prepare.
think about what could happen if a bomb was dropped.
what would you do?
